"Attack of the Clones!" Click Here for Seminar Seat
Presenter: Stefan Soltysiak- Rodney Strong Winery
Pinot Noir is known as the most finicky of grapes, as difficult to grow as it is to make wine from. One of the best tools a winemaker has in crafting fine pinot noir is to take advantage of pinot noir vines’ tendency to misbehave in the vineyards. Strange looking vines can appear out of nowhere, producing grapes that make wine with a noticeably different character. Propagation of one of these capricious vines can lead to unique flavors that add to the complexity of the finished wine. Wine educator, Stefen Soltysiak, will take you through a tasting of four pinot noir clones, all from the same vineyard, followed by a taste of the final product. Note: Ticket Proceeds will go to Charity!
